Our church serves the city and county of Merced which is located in the center of the San Joaquin Valley, two hours west of Yosemite National Park. It is a Bible based church designed to commemorate the word and works of our Master (Christ Jesus), which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing (Mother Church Manual, Page 17). Our church is a branch church of the Mother Church in Boston, Mass.

Our weekly Sunday service consists of readings from the King James version of the Bible and our text book, Science and Health With Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy. Each week a different lesson/sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly is read in our church and in other churches throughout the world.
